Anime- How they came in my life

Or rather how I entered the amazing world of anime. Just to sum you strangers up, the word "anime" is a short for Japanese  animation products. Japanese specifically. Shows like "Spider-man" or "Batman" or "Phineas and Ferb" are cartoons not anime. Yes, pokemon is an anime as it is a Japanese creation.
It all started with the age around 8 when I, just like a normal kid was addicted to cartoons. I loved Power puff girls, Popeye, Roadrunner, Mickey and of course, Tom and Jerry! It was around at that time then,as far as I can remember, a show named as "doraemon"  had become very popular among kids. Back then, our house wasn't one of those privileged ones to have "hungama" channel streamed on the TV. But, as soon as I realized what I had been missing this while, I would just occasionally slip into my neighbor's house to catch some episodes of doraemon and Shinchan. But after, my visits become frequent at their house, I was banned entry for the sake of the "awkward" stare  which the over-conscious parents living in the house, would throw upon me. I became sad as from now, their house became impregnable. But, sooner a dear friend of mine came to rescue.

It goes somewhat like this. My home was quite far away from the school I studied in and hence my dad used to everyday pick me up from the school and escort to home. But the time at which he could arrive from his office was around 45 minutes late which I usually spent waiting idly at the school. A classmate staying near the school warmly welcomed me to his home everyday and let me watch Doraemon which coi-incidentally used to be aired on hungama at that time only, obviously along with him because at that time almost all the kids of the age were mad about this futuristic-bot-show.

"That half an hour of watching TV with him made my life"

Aptly said, right? The lessons which the show taught us around the witty tingling story in every episode were inculcated deeply in our hearts. We laughed at Nobita's stupidity but it used to turn out how amazingly he uses the "gadgets" for the right cause. We found ourselves in his overwhelming laziness and the fact that he could sleep "anywhere" and "anytime", how he hated studies and he used to end up being beaten up from nasty guys and every time he plans out a revenge, some or the other thing screws up in between, we'd love all that.

While "Doraemon" was about right things to do and the nice guy jinx, "Shinchan" was about a super naughty kid who would torture his family up to their throat. It was super funny.

Later on, our home TV also got blessed with hungama which was now the favorite place to spend time upon. Kochikame was yet another super funny show which kept me glued in.

The show was about a police officer named as Kankichi Ryotsu who has a really really screwed up life.

Then, I came across a show which I am still watching with at par enthusiasm and excitement. One fine day, when I was switching over the channels(I still remember it was 3 pm), I noticed an opening song of a show at Disney XD. Due to my love for solving puzzles and mystery cases, the name of the show caught my interest, "Detective Conan"

I immediately fell in love with it. It was just a random case solved by a mysterious boy named as Edagawa Conan, later on I discovered the real plot. The kid was actually a very famous high school detective "Kudo Shinichi" who transformed into a small boy as a side effect of a drug he was forced to inhale by a group of terrorist organization who are his main rivals. Backed by a crazy scientist who makes genius inventions for him, he jumps out into a crusade to hunt down his enemies and in the process he solves innumerable cases in the camouflage of his detective uncle whose house he stayed in who also happens to be the dad of his beloved-both being unaware of his real identity. The cases being shown were really cool, some being exceptionally great with intricate plot and diverse set of characters. Over time being, our hero faces many rivals whom he knocks one by one with his brains.
He also had a skill to know about or judge a person by his appearance or the way of clothing, the skill very similar to what Sherlock uses but at a completely different level. Conan is a self-confessed fan of Sherlock and he uses the skill over time in some cases.

Meanwhile, I am still watching episodes of it, I also saw some legendary anime which provided superb adrenaline experience and quality entertainment. This isn't any top anime list or must recommended list.. its just a veryyy short description of the amazing Japanese shows I have watched up til now, not in any specific order. Time for some adult anime, yay!

1)Death Note-

Forget about only anime, or even animation shows or even any darn show on the TV, THIS IS THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER WATCHED TILL DATE.

This is the story about two geniuses and their battle to defeat the other. A high school genius Light Yagami discovers a mysterious notebook which has powers to kill anyone on the instant his/her name is written. Having this notebook, he determines to kill every criminal from the world and become the king of his new clean world. But, things aren't that simple. Soon whole of the world police force is behind along with a yet another genius cum legendary detective "L". It soon turns out to be a battle of wits- who will come out to survive?

2)Kuroko no basket-

When I say, Death note was the best show I have ever watched, the one giving competition to it was, in turn another anime, that is Kuroko no basket. On Contrary to its first look, it is not a "basketball" specific anime. It teaches you team work, dedication and discipline.

The weekly release of 3rd season of this anime is being currently aired.
Could not hold back my excitement so I am watching again the first season episodes and I find them, still, as amazing as they were for the first time for me. Needless to say, this anime is legendary

, it can be gauged by this fact.

The Teiko Middle School had an amazing record at school level basketball, by a clean sweep over all the tournaments for last three years. Among these great players, there were five once in a decade legendary players known as "Generation of Miracles". However, along with these five prodigies there was also one player who was recognized by all of them, known as their sixth phantom guy, "Kuroko Tetsuya". All six of them join different schools in their High School. Now, in Inter High, and Winter Cup tournaments, these players fight against each other. The battle becomes too fierce to let you breathe! Amazing plot. Amazing action. Lot of feels. A must must must watch!

3)One-Outs-

This anime gets as intense as possible. A total psychological thriller it is, it revolves around baseball pitch. An insane pitcher Tokuchi Toua gambles on baseball and has a record ALL wins. He is an excellent mind reader and a psycho. A legendary baseball player discovers his talent and invites him to play for his own team. The corrupt team owner signs a crazy contract with him where Tokuchi will be paid only for all the "outs" he is able to make and will be heavily charged for giving even a single  run. Inspite of such a contract, and too many restrictions he manages to defeat all the opponents and still earn huge profit for himself! Must watch for his insane mind reading.

4) Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul is a vampire type anime. The are called as "ghouls".. the protagonist gets bitten by one and gets transformed into a half human-half ghoul(body parts of a ghoul is inserted in his). Morally conscience as he is, he vows not to kill humans but at the same time he cannot survive without eating them, The story develops intense with wide range of characters and pretty well-driven plot. The second season is being currently aired.

5)Another-

This one caught me up with full interest throughout. Being a very short anime, this has to be your ideal choice if you want to feel some horror while not wasting much time. A high school student enters a new school and soon gets attracted towards a girl who later on, is revealed that is visible only to him. The story is pretty dense and clings your brain into it. And a little not-so-exciting twist in the end, but a must watch for the gore and story.

6)Future Diary-

Alright, this one was a total freak-out-craziness. A school going boy writes everything happening around him in a cell phone diary. Later on, it transforms into a future diary as a part of the god's plans to set up a game among selected individuals to determine the next heir to His throne will be. Along with his, "random" diary, there are twelve other diaries and their owners who fight against each other for the throne. An another diary owner happens to be a stalker of our hero, and her love for him is portrayed as a total crazy one as she goes to an unimaginable level to protect her love. Must watch for superb story, insane violence and a super amazing twist at the end!

7) One-Piece

Its a very long anime but an absolute epic. You have got to be real patient while watching this as the real story actually develops after around 60th episode but what follows is definitely worth the wait. The protagonist, Luffy, is a pirate made of rubber who vows to find a national treasure, "One Piece" and thus become the biggest pirate in the world. And in the journey, he faces a loathsome amount of rivals and allies. This anime is loaded with full of feels and its definitely must watch for the adventures and amazing arcs.

8)Code Geass-

In the near future, Japan is captured by Britishers and is called as "Area 11". This story is about a brilliant fighter who gets a super power to control anybody's brain just for once. With this power, he gets onto fight with the invaders to free his country.

9)Slam Dunk-

An aggressive athlete enters the world of basketball to impress his crush whose brother happens to be the captain of the school basketball team. Being dumped by girls many times before, Hanamichi(our hero) determines to make this love story of his successful. He's a fast learner with innate jumping power but is jealous with his own teammate- a legendary basketball player Rukawa and practices hard to be better than him. The matches are super-exciting, packed with loads of humor. You will simply love this anime!

I am very well aware of the fact that I have missed some legendary once in a lifetime anime such as Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z,Naruto, Bleach, etc. I have plans regarding watching them too!
Anime will always occupy very very special place in my heart. As they go on to entertain me,inspire me and teach me, I will be forever thankful to them, Hail!
